Privacy Policy
1. Overview
We respect your privacy and collect only the information needed to run Pepper and provide coaching, courses, events, and content. This policy applies to the Pepper mobile app, our website, and related services.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and a user ID; optionally a phone number and profile photo.
- Booking information: the name, phone number, email, date/time, and location/mode you provide when booking a coaching session, course, or event.
- Purchase information: a record of memberships and courses you buy (transaction confirmations). We do not store full card or bank details.
- Usage & device data: in-app activity, content you view, app preferences, diagnostics, crash logs, and device/app identifiers.
- Notification tokens: a push-notification token so we can send booking confirmations and reminders.
3. How we use your information
- Operate the app and manage your account and sign-in.
- Process and manage your bookings, and send confirmations, changes, and reminders.
- Provide access to content and restore your purchases across devices.
- Improve stability and quality, and respond to your support requests.
- Comply with legal, security, fraud-prevention, and app-store requirements.
4. Payments
Memberships and self-study courses are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which process the payment under their own privacy policies. Course, event, and coaching payments are processed through our payment provider (a licensed gateway). Payment is verified on our secure server before access is granted. We receive a confirmation of the transaction but not your full card or bank information.
5. Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications such as booking confirmations, schedule changes, and reminders before a session. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
6. Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run Pepper, under appropriate safeguards:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, file storage, hosting, cloud functions, and push messaging.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases.
- Our payment gateway — to process and verify course/session payments.
- Zoom — when you join an online session or course.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain certain records for legal, security, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and server-side verification of payments and entitlements — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep our systems up to date.
9. Your rights & choices
You may access and update your profile in the app, manage notifications in your device settings, and manage subscriptions in your store account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent where applicable. To delete your account, see Delete Account or email support@getmet.app. Your personal data may be processed on servers located outside your country; we apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Children
Pepper is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes & contact
